My Bank Is Closing/Losing?

I went to my bank yesterday to deposit money, only to find that my maximum quarterly deposit of Php30,000 had been reduced to Php15,000 (equivalent to Php5,000/mo.). This bank gives interest of  15%/annum (the highest in the land) so it's very popular for that reason. I happen to work for a government agency that has a MOA with this bank so I am lucky to qualify for membership. Then this happened. Is the bank closing/losing?

Today is my first day in my new office. It's on the 26th floor of a 27-storey building. There are three elevators but only the middle goes all the way up to my office.

Drop someone a line

To drop someone a line is to write him/her a letter.

“Drop me a line as soon as you arrive in Australia.”

Drive someone up the wall

Someone or something drives you up the wall if it causes you great irritation or annoyance.

“The noise outside is driving me up the wall!”

Dress (someone) down

To dress down is to scold someone.

“The girl received a dressing down from her mother when she came home late.”

Drag your feet

To drag ones feet is to fail to act promptly on an important matter or issue; to procrastinate.

“Don’t drag your feet on your application. The company needs to fill up the position within the week.”

Down the drain

Something goes down the drain if it is wasted or lost.

“Our efforts to beautify and improve the park will go down the drain if the mayor approves the proposal to transform it into a parking lot.”
